The first volume of a series of books on the picture of Imam Ali (AS), first Shia Imam, in Sunni references is published in the Iranian city of Qom.
“Amir-al-Muminin Ali (AS) in Sunni References” is the name of the book by Mahdi Mojtahedi published as the joint effort of Amir-al-Muminin (AS) Special Library in Mashhad and Humanities and Cultural Studies Research Center, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
In this first volume of the book, specialized on a bibliography of the references available on Imam Ali (AS), 266 major books in 428 titles are introduced.
One of the unique features of this book is providing the characteristics of the books based on their original versions available in the libraries in Mashhad.
Providing the characteristic for the appearance of these books is another feature which make it easy to be used by the public.
Imam Ali (AS), first Shia Imam, has been used as an excuse to fuel the differences among Muslim denominations, though efforts like the present book is a step to show the deep respect and importance of Shia Imams (AS) and Ahlul Bayt (AS) for Sunni Muslims.
